In just 30 seconds, you can advocate for immigrant rights in Washington State and defend our state from federal overreach. When bills are in the committee stage, you have the chance to share your position before committee hearings. During the 2026 Legislative Session, we ask you to join us in supporting bills on our legislative priorities list! Sign in PRO by clicking each link and sharing your position. Please note: You are testifying (aka signing in pro) as an individual, not as a representative of JCIJ.

Sign in PRO for the following bill before Thursday, February 26, at 12:30 PM!

PAST SIGN IN PRO OPPORTUNITIES FOR LEGISLATIVE SESSION 2025-2026:

  • House Bill 2641: This bill prohibits certain law enforcement agencies from hiring certain federal employees, specifically immigration officers who were sworn in after 1/20/26.

  • House Bill 2648: This bill relates to procedures of local law enforcement recording interactions with federal immigration enforcement officials. Let’s do everything we can to hold federal immigration accountable!

  • Senate Bill 6109: This bill prohibits the State Investment Board from investing public funds in private detention facilities that profit from incarceration and immigrant detention. No one should profit from human suffering, and public dollars must reflect our moral values and commitment to human dignity.

  • Secure and Accountable Federal Enforcement (SAFE) Act (SSB 5906): This bill establishes data and personal safety protections within areas of public accommodation for all Washington residents. Sign in pro to help prevent federal overreach and keep our data safe!

  • Low-Income Energy Assistance Program (SHB 1903): This bill would create a statewide energy assistance program that reduces the energy burden on low-income households. For immigrant communities who often face high living costs, language barriers, and limited access to other benefits, this support is especially important.

  • Domestic Workers Bill of Rights (SHB 2355): This critical legislation, would ensure that 100,000 domestic workers across the state of Washington—such as nannies, house cleaners, and home health care workers—who are currently excluded from common-sense labor standards can access crucial rights, including minimum wage, overtime, written employment agreements, protections from retaliation and discrimination, and mechanisms to ensure that domestic worker rights are enforced.
